Stabila is a blockchain-based solution for data quality, tracking and processing. It's built on top of the Ethereum blockchain. The goal is for it to be a decentralized platform that can scale massively and resist censorship by eliminating single points of failure through the use of smart contracts. Stabila enables users to document their data in an immutable manner and provides them with tools to track and trace where data originated from. To achieve this, it leverages blockchain technology to create a platform that allows users to create verifiable "records" of their data, creating a record of what happened with the data at any given point in time.


Why is this important.

Because with more businesses paying attention to data privacy, security, ethics and compliance, there's a growing need for tools that can make sure companies are compliant with regulations like GDPR or CCPA. It can be hard for companies to know exactly where their data came from, who their vendors are sharing it with, who has access to the data and whether it's being used ethically. If a company doesn't have this information readily available or auditable, they could face fines or lawsuits — even if they're not using the data themselves.


Stabila consists of three components:

A token-incentivized, peer-to-peer network for training machine learning models,

A decentralized protocol for quantifying and insuring the quality of training data sets,

An open source library for building machine learning models using these networks and protocols.


To create an open, decentralized platform that can scale massively and resist censorship by eliminating single points of failure through the use of smart contracts.

Stabila is built on top of the Ethereum blockchain to leverage many of its powerful features including:

Proof-of-work consensus for incentivized security

Smart contracts for the programmability of trust

Decentralized consensus for global scalability


The concept of Stabila has been around for a long time. In fact, the idea was conceived as early as late 2015. However, at the time, it was just an idea and there were no blockchain platforms that could support such a concept.

The first version of Stabila was released in April 2016 and consisted of an Excel based system that included an automated process to help organizations manage the four pillars of data quality: completeness, timeliness, accuracy and consistency. The system also included a simple internal tokenization model to help monetize data quality.

Although this first version was successful and helped make some impact on the data quality space, it lacked two key components: scalability and automation.

The next version of Stabila (v2) includes a full Ethereum based platform using smart contracts for all functionality.
